| Last Saturday was very hot, with excessive humidity and extreme haze, with nary a cloud in the sky, except for the odd wisp. This is a shot taken from the water taxi as we were leaving the RCYC. In the foreground is Billy Bishop Airport - YTZ, formerly Toronto Island Airport. Also in the scene is the wind turbine at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), the Molson Amphitheatre at Ontario Place as well as the towers and stays for the Pods. Condos are literally popping up like weeds along the waterfront, providing much coveted vistas of Lake Ontario, for which buyers are willing to fork over obscene premiums to be on the right side of the building. |
